Nice moves by both VIPS and YHOO today, even though Alibaba's initial pricing was lower than expected.

The whole Internet sector sold off sharply right before the Facebook IPO. That was probably a signal that the IPO was going to hit some bumps. It will be interesting to see what happens to the Chinese Internet stocks in the days before the Alibaba IPO. So far, there does not appear to be much retail interest in the IPO:
