Did you hear that live? CNET was claiming "built on 28nm". They then went on to note that others were already at 28nm, and Intel was at 14nm?

The transistor count of 2B is compatible with 20nm, and about the same die size as A7 on 28nm, but if the A8 is still 28nm, then it would be double the die size of the A7.
