"the cause of the growing silence about global warming alarmism caused by anthopogenic CO2"

is imaginary, cuz there is no silence, let alone a growing silence.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Gov. Terry McAuliffe's climate change commission is gathering in Richmond for its inaugural meeting.

Created this summer, the Climate Change and Resiliency Commission will hear Wednesday afternoon from McAuliffe. The panel will also receive a report that outlines a number of recommendations aimed at sparing Virginia the full impact of rising seas.

The state's coastal region is especially vulnerable.

McAuliffe's creation of the climate change panel actually resurrected an effort that had lain dormant for years. He has said Virginia could be a leader in the U.S. in dealing with the threat of rising seas.

The commission is chaired by McAuliffe Cabinet secretaries. Its membership totals more than 30.

A report is expected next summer.

MINING giant Rio Tinto, one of Australia’s largest coal producers, has argued that climate change is real and needs to be addressed with the advancement of new clean-coal technologies. The global miner’s chief executive of energy, Harry Kenyon-Slaney, said today that any strategy to seriously mitigate climate change had zero chance of success if it was not based on rigorous analysis and facts.
