Here's the poop.

For some reason -- maybe because I'm a journalist and on this board -- I received a couple of messages about a rumor posted on AOL about shoddy workmanship, that had no basis in fact.

Meanwhile, I've begun an email exchange with someone in the company, in the National and Government Sales department, who wrote to me because he was concerned that investors on the board might be misunderstanding TNCX's core strengths and value.

What he's hoping to communicate, through me, is that TNCX has had a solid business making servers, etc., for government and educational use. From our postings, he surmised that we investors are too tightly focused on the hype-type quickrise announcements, and not enough on the slow and steady build up of major accounts that have continuing revenue. In his words:

"...unlike most companies on NASDAQ, we aren't as much a 'quarterly' company.ÿ In other words, because of our product line, it's not like we can say 'we'll do x amount of airplanes this quarter.'ÿ Our contract negotiations are on-going with many carriers, cruise lines, and hotels.ÿ The important thing for the group to realize is that we are still very successful in the military and corporate (educational) market with desktop training systems.ÿ It's important to know that airlines aren't our only market, and that we've been a successful company for 12 years."ÿ

He's a pretty major shareholder himself (perhaps predictably), and feels confident in the company's longterm future as a quality provider.

I suppose the point here is that the current share price barely reflects estimated revenues from non-air/cruise accounts, and that airview announcements shouldn't be our reason for staying in or dropping out. I'm as guilty of riding my hopes on those kinds of accounts as anyone, I suppose.

I can certainly forward questions about the company to this executive, if anyone has any. I'll also inquire if I can post his responses by name.
