Again? How many times do I have to post it? marketwatch.com Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were a minor problem in a huge economic disaster. Banks in conjunction with realtors were coming up with 'creative' loans that entrapped way too many people in a financial mess and then Wall Street turned them into 'stinky' derivatives that almost brought the world economy to a crashing halt. That's what the Bush administration and the Rs in Congress failed to monitor. And that's why the house of cards fell apart in 2007-2008. Bush was the worst president in 100 years.
