Very true. There is model/expectations versus reality. Also, something could organize south of Central America and creep across into the Gulf of Mexico and hit Texas. However, once it gets swept up by the jet, it'll be in Europe in 2 days.

Oh, the energy of the jet streams. Shreds hurricanes to pieces. Did you know...in one day, a typical hurricane emits the equivalent amount of energy used by the world in 8 months? Plus or minus a cow fart. Then there are the jet streams, which make energy of hurricanes seem so puny. Then, there is a liberal's ego/hubris, which amasses all of that in thinking we control it all. Now, I'm against senseless pollution (ahem, China), clean habitat, etc. You get my point :)
