Ted, at this point, Obama will have to back up his words with action. (I don't doubt he will, though, but it's clear his hand is being forced.)

That's one of the biggest consequences of this whole "I don't have a strategy" nonsense. If Obama wanted to avoid war, he would have had to convey a real sense of strength and conviction.

Otherwise, he'll have no choice but to confront the enemy with bombs and drones. And that gets messy.
