Moon,

It is nice that the demand appears to be so high that it crashes the website. The question that is raised was the demand too high or was Apple simply unprepared. Right now, I will say that I think the demand was too high based on the interest in these new phones. But, with the right evidence, I can be convinced otherwise.

It seems also that the bigger phone is the most popular, with delivery times going out to 3-4 weeks on the Apple website for all the carriers and configurations that I tried to look at. I wonder if this is because the demand is through the roof(which it probably is) or if the dreaded production issues that have been rumored at are at least partly to blame. The smaller phone is still mostly available for delivery on the 19th in most configurations and most carriers. I can't decide on which phone I may want to upgrade to so I will need to go to the store and see how they feel at the different sizes.

From past product introductions, I am going to guess that there will be an ok supply of phones the first day and that Apple will be shipping the phones on a daily basis as they come off the assembly line. I am also going to guess that as we speak, there are production lines that are changing over from the 6 to the 6 plus to increase production, again as long as this imbalance isn't related to production issues.

It will be interesting to see where the share price ends up today. Maybe that will give a clue as to where people/investors think there is unprecedented demand or some production issues.

Good luck today.

Neal
