Last week I ask if anyone could name the top 8 countries that the U.S.
has the most exposure to. (ie the highest exports plus in country
salses.) The list is below. I find it interesting that all of ASIA
is only 11.5% of the US total. (Much has been made lately regarding
Korea wich is only 1.2%)

It seems that perception, much more than fact, is what moves markets.
Same thing applies to SNDK. It is perception that competition in the
flash disk market is going to squeeze SNDK profits. Just about every
week I read that some other company is introducing some kind of new
flash memory to market. It is yet unclear whether camera companies
will introduce new cameras with the Intel chip because it holds more
and is cheaper per MB. Not next quarter, but next year. How does the
Asian flu affect Camera Sales of mostly Japanese companies which buy
from SNDK? What percentage, for example, of Konica or Canon Sales are
in Asia vs. the rest of the world? I wonder about these things myself
as do many fund managers - obvisously.
The question is: how much of the perception is fact and how much is
not? When the perception changes the stock will move. Facts do not
move stocks, perception of fact moves stocks.
