LOL.. Well, your getting closer.. Now, at least you have included Congress in the "blame game".

Bush set off the sirens, the Blue side of Congress saw no issues or risks, said it was too close to the Congressional recess to worry.

Apparently, you don't understand how the federal gov't works. Its true that Congress has some oversight of the federal bureaucracy but the majority of the oversight is to be performed by the president's cabinet. Interestingly enough, some of Bush's cabinet appointments had no experience in the work performed under that cabinet position. So they had no idea what needed watching and regulating...........and since the GOP considers governance a waste of time except for going to war and getting elected, they pretty much ignored the functioning of gov't. That allowed private industry to do whatever they damn pleased.

As a Republican, you should be ashamed at what your people did to this country.
