MPEG-4................. Belgian IMEC Research Center to Develop SOC with Several Japanese Companies December 15, 1997 Comline Electronics Wire via Individual Inc. -- The Inter-universities Microelectronics Center in Belgium is to pursue joint research on the MPEG-4 standard with several Japanese companies. The project is called Multimedia Image Compression (MIC) and will last for 3 years, beginning in January 1998. The spokesmen for IMEC will not reveal their partners until the project begins.
