I also saw Metacomet's post a minute or two after it was posted.

And, yes, the F* word did appear in that post.

I'm sure he meant to say HECK, but in a hurry to put together his thoughts and share them with the rest of us (and board admins), he made a couple of typos. F for H. U for E. Hey, it happens.

But, the *post* should have been censored.

Not the *poster*.

And, an appropriate warning should have been issued to let him know he should be more careful in the future.

Just like an appropriate warning should have been issued to me prior to being banned from TWO threads.

I wonder ... can plain old lifelong veterans like me make suggestions about who should be banned from the site forever?

I also wonder .. can admins be banned?

Wonder, wonder, wonder.

Of course, I would never ban anybody, because that would amount to a violation of free speech. There are many, many brave men and women who paid the ultimate price protecting that freedom. We are in debt to them and all other Veterans for their efforts. Abuse of the ban "feature" would be un-American and should not be tolerated.
