SFE-- A similar story: but of course I was much older. We'd had incredible heat here (summer of '84, I think), and for about a week a colleague and I took the train every day to work at the archive in Begamo. It was absolutely ghastly. Then one afternoon we couldn't stand it anymore, went out to a bar and ordered beer. It was delivered to us in glasses half frozen, beaded.... We gasped in amazement. (And rightly so, as normal refrigeration had broken down everywhere.) The best beer I've ever had. S
