Philosophy has not kept up with modern developments in science

I am in awe of how much the basic understanding of the universe has changed in my lifetime. Philosophy has in the mean time been mostly captured by religion which has been stuck with a notion of infallibility for centuries.

There has been progress in philosophy where it is not attached to religion, in particular the studies which show that decisions and ethics which are proposed by groups work better than proposals by individuals. There is also the confirmation that the right answer in ethics and morals is not absolute, but changes over time as the underlying society changes over time.
