so, have i got this straight ....
TR wouldn't go into the pacific, cause all that would do
is free some islands (and, save american boyz)
instead he went into north africa to ostensibly protect
the oil, but actually to take control of said oil .... oh yes,
and to help out the russians which were friends at the time
... a short time.
in the meantime, america was really getting beaten up in
the pacific, so eventually he dropped the bomb(s) and
murdered hundreds of thousands of civilians (we haven't
got there yet in the series) all of which might easily have
been avoided if he had gone into the south pacific to free
those miserable islands in the first place.
and around this time, of course, war for profit whetted the
american war machine's appetite and it's been gorging
itself at the table ever since.
wow, eh? well, well.
