I think the heavy volume is created by day traders who jump in and out of the stock. EFII has volume of 10M today and the stock hardly moves. It had a volume of more than 32M on Friday when it crashed 61%. Average daily volume was around 600K. Yahoo provides daily chart now, quote.yahoo.com, quote.yahoo.com. I think MRV can buy back the 3M shares offered at the secondary at around 21, and then start another secondary at 36. Oh what an easy way to make money :-)
