I went to the Apple store today at opening time (Sunday)

there was a line of about 30-40 people outside the store waiting to buy phones. I didn't get a chance to check on the inventory situation but I was surprised that there was so much demand still that there would be significant lines. This store is in a suburban location outside of major markets but with Apple stores within reasonable driving distance.

I didn't find the 6s to be freakishly big. I would get one except-- and this is a deal breaker, it won't fit in my shirt pocket. Can't button it closed. bending over, it'll shoot out right into traffic, toilet, river.. Stowing it on my body is a major ptoblem. I really liked it though, otherwise. It's not like holding an ipad mini against your head. It's reasonable for someone with, say, a purse.

the 6 doesn't seem much bigger than my 5s. I like it though, just wish I had bigger shirt pockets for the 6s, but I know I'll be happy with the 6.

My carrier launches on Friday. I might buy one then. Certainly this Fall.

But back to the lines-- if Apple isn't selling out, we may get a freakishly large 1st weekend number. the analyst at 7 million is out to lunch. 10 million will be a minimum.
