There was no deflection here, was only reporting the firm Jewish doctrine that no human can claim direct divinity. It is very great taboo in Judaism who see only one God and this one God is alone, unlike the Hellenes that had many such tales of human/divine lineage down thru their origin stories. So my case of this copying them remains solidly proved, they were the overwhelming influence everywhere at that time, also they comprised majority of converts to this new movement.

Though matters little to me if one well meaning country rabbi felt so imbued with the holy spirit in his wandering communes with nature, that doesn't bother me in the slighest. Just that we have also seen history trampled down & overflowing with those that claimed infallibility in this one very simple character's name & cause much mischief. ( Islam is a whole new world of this same infallibility nonsense)

And as always, inquiring minds would love to know where did that winged horse comes from? Ah, we have the pagan influences again along with the virgin birth.
