It does seem that the top guy should be 'less available', but I don't know for certain. I know one CEO/Chairman that has made himself very available to Wall Street and mutual funds because his background was in sales, I suppose, and perhaps he develops a good rapport.

Acting as the number one contact person would not make sense in his case....but perhaps it makes more sense for smaller firms. Paradigm may be small enough that the top guy can handle it and has the marketing skill to pull it off....and perhaps the Ops guy has the organisation well in hand. Very often Chair(wo)men and CEOs have very political jobs....it does sound a little quirky....but often people can gain access if they are serious investors. I know of a couple/three AMEX firms where access to top management is not a problem.

Another possibility? You call him but get an assistant who 'screens' you first.

For some reason, Cypress reminds me of the name of a golf course and much too distracting for me.
