| | | Do men no longer carry brief cases?
Murse? Back in the olden days, some 30 years ago, men carried very nice leather bags, often shoulder bags, I don't remember what they were called if they even had a name. I know there are some males on this board who will remember. I have a huge repugnance to the word "murse" along with "meggings". YUCK!!!!!! Must everything be gender specific? I have no problem with men carrying "purses" (ORIGIN late Old English, alteration of late Latin bursa ‘purse,’ from Greek bursa ‘hide, leather.’ The current verb sense (from the notion of drawing purse strings) dates from the early 17th cent.) or wearing "leggings". Women wear suits, we carry brief cases, suspenders are a fashion accessory. None of them are renamed for us.
OK, yet again I have gone off on a rant............sorry.
This is what happens when you let a girl into the clubhouse.
