I think Apple will come in at around 38 million iPhones sold in this quarter, and about 60 million in Q1, the holiday quarter.


If China launches in the December quarter, I think the Street will now view 60m as disappointing. Expectations have increased along with the stock price. That doesnt matter to the long-term shareholders but for those who own options expiring in early 2015 (that includes me), I think Apple will need to sell above 60m to get much of a return from here.
