I guess Haley believes that the LPC division has the capabilities to produce the product (s) necessary to compete in the high end market. I can't recall exactly when/where but I believe that Haley had mentioned the possibility of building another LPC facility to meet the potential demand for flip chips (D. Fant seems to be the resident expert on flip chips). I am sure INVX is in the wait and see mode in terms of market demand and the current Asian "crisis" before there is any attempt to build another facility.

For some reason I thought that INVX had intentions of providing the flex circuits for the flip chips that IBM and 3-m would produce (D. Fant help me out on this one). LPC would be the division to produce these flex circuits. D. Fant wrote an excellent article on Flip Chips. I think he may can direct you to that site.

Just remember that I am no technology guru and take whatever I say with a grain of salt. I am still learning, long on INVX and believe the management of INVX has as much integrity as any company around.
