Yes it would.
What makes the iPhone immune to the winds of technology trends? It's hard to think of particular electronics brands, let alone a specific model of a specific type of product, that has remained on the leaderboard for more than a few years. Given, the iPhone has lost substantial global share and is still extremely profitable, but that doesn't mean it can fade indefinitely and remain so.
