Potentially the side of the case might be very thin because of the volume buttons. If that is the case then I am sure the fix/retrofit is already in place in the new iPhone 6+ that are being built right now. Assuming Apple has sold around 5M 6+ phones, the cost to replace them might not be so expensive.
