Rainier: I've been waiting for someone rational to start a thread like this, so a very appropriate title! Although most of our discussions have been in TA-and-Candle-land in the past, I look forward to discussing FA strategies with you and the other threadsters, in addition to TA. The combination of the 2 for "core" holdings greatly increases the probability of success, but few people are willing to really learn both because it takes a TON of work, and it requires you to assess 2 schools of thought, and merge them based on your own experience. Add industry group and broad market analysis to the mix and you have a potentially potent strategy that covers the 3 strategic pieces: selection, entry, and exit. Since we probably have a good number of weeks before the overall market is technically stable (see my post on the Charts for quick cash thread yesterday), maybe we can divvy up pieces of the analysis based on the folks that participate here, and get familiar with each others basic strategies so we know the investment angle that comments are coming from. Sounds like the beginnings of another great thread Rainier!
