What impressed you about him? I'd like to know because my biggest worry about Michael Stamm is my fear that he is not street smart, but at the same time he wants to be fair and friendly with street smart people. That is a recipe for getting crucified, as apparently almost happened with Peter Boonen and may happen again. I was very glad to see the 9/11/97 press release, because professional alliances such as the ones cited there can protect him against those kinds of irregularities, but I wonder if he really wants to be protected. That is, I am sure he is able to make tough technical decisions, but I am not so sure he is able to make the tough management decisions that are needed for a successful company. M.M.
