This was a great post. Others have also questioned the "damned by faint praise" tone of the BD COC testimonial.
Thall, BD was exclusively responsible for COC on these Ledoux samples. Their seeming inability to verify unequivocal COC is more of an indictment of their own process than either that of Ledoux or Naxos.
To Kim Brasington, I would be very pleased if you could comment on this issue. I know Naxos paid top dollar for BD to do this work because they wanted at all cost to put this issue of salting and/or contamination to rest. It seems to me that what we have read on the last release is not worth the cost. I am wondering if insiders are bothered by this as well. It seems to me that a luke warm verification of COC from BD is worth much less than a definitive statement on the issue from a less recognized company. Do you feel that we got our money's worth, and is this the best they can promise for future releases on these samples? TIA
Lawrence
