J.E. I am not saying that Pt will become less expensive
over the course of time. What I am saying is that for
fuel cells to become widespread, additional sources of Pt
must become available to keep a lid on prices. If these
additional sources were widespread then prices could fall.

A perfect example of new technology increasing supply is
oil. Remember, it was not too long ago that the world was
supposedly running out of oil. Now, with new extraction
methods, reserves are still increasing.

This is what Naxos is attempting to do at FL. New technology
to increase the supply of a (supposedly) finite resource.

If anyone is interested in auto technology besides fuel cells,
there is a company called Satcon that is working on flywheel
energy storage systems. They were written up by Individual
Investor as one of their top picks for 1998 (although for
other reasons).

I hope this long-winded post makes sense.
