Re: You might get lucky if they get bought by someone, ...>

I might or I might not. My stock selection these days is mostly like long line fishing. I put out a lot of line with a lot of hooks and bait and when one of them hits I have a look. Sometimes I sell the fish to the fish, and sometimes I buy it.

Sometimes folks buy for valid reasons & I buy more. Sometimes it's just BS. I keep the hooks on the line with bait and see what happens.

Damn.

I wrote around 10 minutes on a reply that would make sense. "It" crashed. God I hate computers.

All the little deals don't, IMO, amount to squat.

Re: I'm trying to figure out if they are going to warn this Qtr. If so,> What? Should you have bought more before they didn't warn or sold before they did? In the end what difference will it make next May when you should be selling, or in November when you should be buying -- statistically speaking? It all gets to be like paying attention to *NITS* flying around in a bottle. Will you accept 10% per year or would you prefer to be greedy and maybe get 11%?

How many times will you stand 100% loss for a 5000% gain?

I miss all the folks who made sense. A. A. LaFountain III,

ajbrenner -- I used to go to races with him,

Daniel Schuh I disagreed, but also agreed.

DRBES -- I went to meet him once and we missed each other. I'd like to run into him. He's in New York, I'm mostly around Daytona. Maybe someday.

Jim McMannis - Had Florida real estate pegged. I'm still $100K behind on one buy for not paying attention to him. He also found me a good computer mechanic to fix my aunt's machine. Maybe we can get together. Cabbage Patch? Thanks, Jim.

kapkan4u - Paid me the best compliment anyone ever did. And made me the most short term money anybody ever did. My god, what a market timer!! He'd tell you it was about to turn, and within a minute of the turn he'd tell you it had turned, go all in. It lost, only once, but it made me 100X, at least, on the money I invested on his timing. I don't know where he is or what he's doing but he should be on Wall Street making about $10M/year for himself and 500X that for other folks.

AK47 & Greg Ness? Noll? Been too long. Both great folks. Greg could make a tear giggle.

Petz - Best brain I met on the thread, I think. Never met him either.

Pravin, shot straight. No BS. You read what he said and he meant what he said. Really valuable.

Steve Harris -- Still talk to Steve once in a great while. I still want to meet him one day. Typical guy, typical problems, doing the best he can do in a typical way. About like me.

Tenchusatsu - I should have been nicer to you. I think he's a genuinely nice guy. In a fit of pique I jammed him up. Sorry, warrier, you deserved better.

If this thread is to get to be something than neolib posting to h/im/er self those folks and others need to get back here,

How many other folks know that Paul Ma is nationally known as an economist type?

How many others recognize that he was an active poster here before he went off to college?

Who is Paul's dad?

The old AMD thread would have had all that as common knowledge. Thanks to -- who knows who -- this one doesn't.
