No one's comparing ISIL with Christians today, you are always playing the dodgy drama queen & persecuted sufferer. One could easily point back to 1000yrs of bloody Christian history & point fingers but what is the qualifying difference from Islam? That answer have already given you, the Greek/Roman Classics returned right when they were being banned in Islam. There was a Renaissance & refreshing of the human spirit away from the superstitions you seem so fond of defending still.
The one way to strike a blow to the heart of fundmentalists, is admit once & for all those histories were all fabricated fables , keeping track of Jesus is fine but before that almost everything is totally suspect.
