IDC's second quarter market share numbers are out-- iPhone loses market share as per normal. Also per normal, the loss in market share has no bearing on how well the iPhone is selling.

To show how irrelevant market share is to the iPhone business, I plotted the iPhone revenue and unit sales reported by Apple in their Fiscal Q3 (corresponding to each of the CY Q2 datapoints IDC presents above). Interestingly, as CY Q2 market share approaches 0%, FY Q3 revenue should approach $30B, with 59 million in corresponding iPhone shipments.
