If you read the earlier posts, you would know that DELL has a 14% price advantage over the channel. In order to get a contract from DELL, CPQ or the distributor has to throw in 10% before taxes to match DELL's bid. This is before DELL cuts its price. That cuts the profitability of CPQ,HWP or IBM to the quick.

If DELL wants to take lower margins it can put them under water.
