Don't get me wrong. I'm a very strong supporter of Yahoo. I think Yahoo will be huge.

...but I'm foremost a stock trader. I don't like losses. They bug me and make me grouchy. They take away choice. They turn up the pressure. They're emotionally upsetting. In a word, losses suck. I'd rather miss an opportunity than suffer a loss. Take enough losses and opportunities become meaningless.

Warren Buffett has two rules for investing. The first is, "Don't lose." The second is, "Don't forget rule #1."

I don't know where the market is going. It seems that the technology sector has lost it, but maybe today was a capitulation day. Time will tell. Meanwhile, I'm safe on third base.

My wife is keeping her Yahoo that she bought under 20, and she actually owns quite a bit of it. She's more casual and patient about her investing, but the monthly expense checks come from my trading account. I like to eat.
