It's also a strategy to get consumers in the door in hopes they'll not just buy the chicken (or what ever) but spend a lot of money on other items too.

I just bot a 2014 Ford Focus for $7,000. under manf list price. I noticed the ad on line the night before (I was looking for a new car at the time) and made sure I was at the front door of the dealership when they opened. I looked around a bit, and came back to that car. And just in time too. The other one (they only had two at that price) had already sold.

I bot my last car that way too. Huge savings!
