Tablet market is reaching saturation: Citi 9:02a ET October 2, 2014 (MarketWatch) As Apple (AAPL) reportedly mulls , the market for tablets is seen as nearing saturation. This is partially due to the recent rise of phablets like the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy Note. In a note to clients this week, Citigroup said it sees the tablet market growing by single digits for "the foreseeable future." This comes as tablet growth slows significantly this year after rising 52% in 2013. In the first half of 2014, tablet growth edged up just 6%. Citi said it views this as further indication that the tablet market is "reaching saturation quickly," particularly in mature markets. o~~~ O
