paul, I see this is analyst reports all the time. but, dell countered cost with the lowest cost distributive system. I have seen that in reports all the time too. they are dif things. now that cpq is lowering it's distributive cost and actaully winning some big contracts. BUT, the asia currency issue helps all the biggest, cpq and dell and alike. I actually think it helps dell about 5 to 10% more. for, now I think this is all that is needed. It gives dell two more qtrs to lower cost... so, maybe a pullback doesn't start til aug. 98..they have that long to drop cost more.
