Neo was NOTHING like you. NOTHING LIKE YOU. He was schooled at St. John’s University where the curriculum was entirely based on The Great Books compiled by the Encyclopedia Britannica. Of course you are clueless about this. If you had any discourse with him, it was you mindlessly spouting some Conservative crap to your “master” while he gently remonstrated you while simultaneously stroking your ignorance. It happened that I had read (AND OWNED) all the Great Books before I was 25, so had forgotten most of it by the time I encountered Neo. So we had an identical education in many ways--except that he really was irrational when it came to religion. He was so involved in the trees that the forest was invisible to him. When it came to any rational critique of religious matters…he was so smart he was stupid. He is not the first intelligent person I have encountered inflicted with this aberration. He will not be the last. He had a profound and quite brilliant grasp of the great thinkers.
We both lost our tempers with one another in Righteous Indignation time and again. But he was, nevertheless, a good and fair man. He was nothing like you. He would have considered you as having one redeeming quality only: you were a Conservative—even if you didn’t know why!
For you to try to sanitise your trolling and your infantile insults by pretending friendship with an educated man who cannot refute your clownish claims--that is simply contemptible.
