Soundview lowered its estimates for TER for 1998 from $2.94 to $2.52, but kept it as a ST and LT buy, while it downgraded most of the semi-equip stocks. Even at $2.52, the stock is extremely cheap by historical standards. Also, news story that Korean conglomerates will cut cap spending, but not in chip-making (I think someone else on the board noted this before in relation to one of the co's) at techweb.com Yeadon
