I recently rolled over a 401K to an IRA which means it was just a wad of cash a couple weeks ago.
My goal was to create a diversified, dividend paying portfolio.
I started buying on Wednesday. Below is the result of this weeks buying. I am interested in opinions as to whether it represents a good retirement vehicle. I still have some cash to modify the mix if necessary.

I used the "Catch a falling knife" technique to acquire the stocks, which means I put in limit orders below the current bids and waited to see if the stock would get bought. I bought half the goal at a time. If I got the half I would generally try again at a lower price. I filled out sectors to have some representation today after the market seemed to quit dropping.

Along the way I picked up a speculative play (WMC the jury is still out) and Goog as I didn't think my original sectors had enough technology representation (I originally rejected it as it has no dividend, but ultimately included it for stability).

Should I complete my purchase goals? or am I missing something important?
