Remember, we at one time were "the unregenerate"...

Anyone who goes to God for ANYTHING, has some amount of faith. Even if only as small as a mustard seed.

Consider Paul on the road to Damascus, whose faith was only in himself and his abilities to capture and taunt those whose faith was in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Consider also the fear in the heart of the servant of Elisha who because of lack of faith, knew not what to do. How then Elisha prayed that God would open the eyes of him with no faith. 2 Kings 6:8:17

Consider also Moses who had faith as great of all Egyptians, and considered not God.Then the burning bush!

Consider even the children of Israel whose faith was in the living God.Consider why God referred to them as "a stiffnecked people". After all that God had done for them. And they saw with their own eyes, their faith was now driving them to build "other gods" a molten calf.Had it not been for the faith of one man, Moses, well only God knows what would have become of them, except God did repent.
Ex.32:8-14.. Many times over these people provoked God in their disbeleif and lack of faith... But for the glory of God, God did see them through....

And let us not forget the lack of faith on the part of the disciples. These men walked with Jesus, ate with Jesus, traveled with our Lord for 3 long years. Heard His words, saw His miracles, knew His power, and felt His love. Yet there were times when Jesus rebuked them for their lack of faith...Mark 4:40, Matt.17:17...consider Peter, and Thomas...

God said "....I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy" Ex.33:18-19

And but for the grace of God there go I.

God is so much more then all the word within His Holy scriptures. God is so much more than formulas and doctrines. God is so much more than we attribute to His loving kindness and mercy.....We can never second guess God, for He is so much more than any of us know.

Yes my loving Brother David you are right to attribute the book of Hebrews to this situation and there is much to be learned from this great book on faith. But we can't limit the power and love and mercy of God to any one book...Especially to those who are searching....

And now with your above post on Hebrews, you have planted the seed of faith in all those who are searching.... May God bless you David.

Love in our Lord Jesus,
Shalom...><>
