Since when is asking a person who charges for a service a stupid or insulting question?

I read this as a reason for banning TREND1 and an explanation for the action.

"asked a stoopid and insulting question"

So let me see

EXAMPLE... My name is x. I can be seen on CNBC and other.

I am on one of the many finance shows and I recommend Y.

Am I insulted when the interviewer asks me if I own the stock?

If I make a market in the stock?

Do I say to the interviewer.. THAT IS A STUPID QUESTION. I'm insulted?

Or DO I give a response. Or does the finance station run a long statement letting me know the opinions of the person are not their opinions etc etc.

Now let's think of all the folks you have seen on TV over the years.

How many of them refused to answer. Has Buffet been insulted?

How about TEMPLETON.

How about ICAHN?

What do they do.. THEY ANSWER THE QUESTION.

So is it stupid to ask?

NO it's stupid to not ask.

Is it an insult? Not to many who charge. Why? Its common place to ask if there is a relationship etc.

All those licensed, registered etc are more than welcome to discuss the topic so I can ask them if they have anything they are required to disclose.

I'm an individual investor with not a thing that I'm required to disclose.

Now that wasn't so hard .. Apparently it is for some.
