<<< Is today's rise a blip in a general down turn in tech
or have we seen the bottom?>>>

Calling the bottom in a bruised and bleeding stock market
like today is IMO impossible, but I think we are close to the bottom.
Is the tech sector finished as an investment ??? No way
It will come roaring back sometime, but like those 500 car companies that existed in the twenties, many will stuggle or get bought out, leaving only the tough(or lucky) as good investments.
Dell is one of the toughest, thrives in a price-cutting
environment. I concur with others estimates of the 81 or 82 bottom for Dell. CSCO is looking good to me at the moment.
Like many, though, I am mostly in defensive posture, and
buying only on dips.
On the bad earnings of MUI etc, I don't believe we will see
much affect, as the big boys earnings are looked at much closer.
That late tanking at about 2PM was apparently caused by the
bond market problem (higher rates).
