The volatility of this market is incredible ... Rode 25 196 calls from 11 cents to 1.14 on yesterdays rally. And took profits this morning on puts bought at yesterdays close. It's definitely a viable vehicle if you are fairly accurate with your timing and market direction calls. If you're wrong its only a few hundred bucks and risk is truly defined - unlike trading the underlying where you might be relying on a stop order. They can be perilous to your financial health in fast market conditions. Why is it that almost all retail always seems to get the low/high tick? Shhhh .... Good Luck ... the Bear could easily gain control of this market again ... but I'm betting with the bonds. When they weaken that capital will likely flow to equities once the Fedsters stop pumping the system this time around. Who knows how long it will last?
