If there truly is DNA to be gleaned from the evidence, that would be amazing. For sure DNA is the way to go. They can start with the partial print on the soda bottle. I also hope further analysis is performed on the knife tip. Knowing the exact murder weapon would be a big step forward. Of course touch-DNA from clothing is also a possibility.

The downside here is that this case has gone through so many different sets of eyes. First there was the NHPD who totally botched things to the nth degree, then Yale's own guy Andrew Rosenzweig, then the State's Attorney, then the Task Force of retirees (Mannion et al), then back to the State's Attorney, now yet another task force. While it is great each group looks at the case with "fresh eyes", it also means they go back to square one and have to learn the case all over again. Not to be self-promoting here, but I know half a dozen people who likely have way more knowledge of the case than the task force ever will-- unless, of course, there is still key evidence being withheld. If there is at this point, 15 years later, somebody truly doesn't want this case solved. I hope not.
