SAIC speculation-----
This is purely speculation on my part and I have nothing concrete to back up my speculation but, this is what make it fun doesn't it.
News today about SAIC started to ring some bells in my head.
<News off of bloomberg.>
Science Applications International Corp. is in talks to buy Bell Communications Research for $700 million from Ameritech Corp., Bell Atlantic Corp., BellSouth Corp., Nynex Corp., Pacific Telesis Group, SBC Communications Inc. and US West Inc., The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people close to the situation. Under multi-year contracts signed last year between Bellcore and its current owners, Science Applications, which offers technical consulting services, would continue after the sale to provide the Baby Bells with technical support, research and software assistance.
This is SEXI's main alliance partner. <off of seivideo alliance page> Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is a $1.5 billion employee-owned company headquartered in San Diego, CA. SAIC has business interests in worldwide military, government and commercial markets. SYSTEMS of Excellence has entered into a strategic alliance with SAIC to jointly pursue contracts which will position SAIC as the prime contractor and SEI as the supplier of desktop video-teleconferencing systems.
Here is what makes this news interesting. Here is a company already in deep with military contracts as well as the Bells being a major player with SEI. The kicker is this company is buying a premier research arm of phone companies, 'Bellcore'. This little lab If I remember correctly, was looking into image retrieval from crystals as well.
LazerTek, Videoconferencing, Military, CIA connections at SEXI. Is it possible the Huttoe is setting up a possible buyout by SAIC by dressing up the company to be attrective as possible for SAIC???
All I can say is SEI is hanging out with the right crowd for some major connections. |
