Many U.S. Congress-members have "consulting contracts" while in office with those paying them bribes, but no Presidents or other Executive branch employees nor Judicial branch employees are allowed "consulting contracts" while in office.

Are we unfairly making it too hard for Judges and the President of the United States to become vastly wealthy while in office? Why shouldn't the blessed free-market guide our President and judicial decisions like it does in Hong Kong?
