A silvery slice of this moonlit night Coaxes the poet to capture in word How magnificent is this moon-filled sight Seen once but forever heard The ocean obeys the night's magical light And the pull of the silvery moon Melting back to the sea to gather some might To pummel the sandy wet dune Its beauty and power are in constant display Legends told by many a seer This beauty I see will be lost come the day Poetic words cling soft in my ear It floats in the sky like a mystical eye And watches what others can't see Its magic is felt in a lover's sweet sigh As I pull her closer to me
