who wants to dial 21 numbers just to save 2 1/2 cents ?

I think the savings are potentially more since this the user pays a flat rate any time of any day. At any rate, your 2 1/2 cents is a whopping 33% increase. If you are a business with a $10,000 phone bill every month you would look long and hard at this offer.

But you're right that the voice business isn't going to make this company and they aren't going to compete head to head with AT&T for the voice market. QWST's network is optimized for data not voice. I personally don't care if they offer voice but if they can pick up some extra revenue, great . Data is where the money is.

There is a report that Internet traffic grew 100 fold in the last 80 days. If this is true then QWST will be blossoming sooner than expected.
