it's actually eternal life dependent on a power other than oneself. .....Yes, this whole idea was so all consuming of the Egyptian consciousness for over 3,000yrs, almost all their lives were a preparation for that passage onto heaven. Though this theology was always designed by the priests as their power grew, he who holds the keys & right magic incantations of that invisible world, etc etc.

Now ask yourself just where did Christians (and Jews) get these ideas of heaven & hell from. It was also one of the chief features of Egyptian enterrement to stress the preservation the body in a sarcophagus and lo & behold as Gabriel blows his trumpets at the pearly gates....the Christians do as well.

Only a blind man would not to see the direct ancient connections, but we've established this about you quite frequently here.
