thanks for pointing this out to me. I must have missed that earlier. I would assume that he was not fired: Why would he find such a good position thereafter so quickly?

It seems to me that BHP management troubles in senior ranks is continuing. In my experience, the lower ranks are leaving because the are disgruntled with what their boss is doing. Prescott I guess is not that popular. JMHO.
